We've add some new kritters to our farm, and so have our chickens. They are so fun to watch with their Mommy's, running around but never too far from Mom, its so cute! We bought 5 new ducks at the Fair, & I said to Reid on the way home, we will have 10 ducks! What was I thinking, lol! They are the best alarm clocks, even above the roosters! They come right below our bedroom window and Quack! Really LOUD!!! Of course the Geese help with their loud Honks! They are a lot of fun though! They follow me everywhere and always want bread. When I feed them, that is the only time they are quiet. :)
Reid has been working on our Parakeets, who I usually just let fly where they want to and perch on a plant I have hanging. So they are not very people friendly, though they will only go home to eat when one of us is in the room, kinda funny. Reid is holding Eeyore, we named him that because he sits with his head hung low, like he's sad. Vanity, well he was named for his vain desire to look at himself in the mirror all day! He even talks to his reflection. Then one day we were watching Smurfs (Yes that funny cartoon from the 80's of little blue kritters) We laughed so hard when Vanity Smurf showed up! It was a perfect fit a little blue bird and a little blue smurf, lol.
